Hi, and welcome to the 2026 IAG Golf Tournament. My name is Steven and I have the pleasure of being this year’s coordinator.
Myself, also a passionate yet unskilled golfer, will coordinate the tournament, flights, tee times, and participation admin.

The tournament
The Golf Tournament will take place on 7 and 8 May 2026 (tee times start at 11am) at the Crete Golf Club. The competition will be played over two rounds of 18 holes in a team based Stableford format.
Team scores will be calculated based on individual Stableford points, with overall standings determined by the combined results across both days.
Rules Framework
The Golf Tournament will be conducted in accordance with the established Inter-Agency Games framework, complemented by the applicable international rules of golf. These provisions are designed to ensure fair play, consistency, and a shared understanding among all participants.
Location
The Crete Golf Club is located near Hersonissos, approximately 20 minutes from Heraklion International Airport, set within a scenic valley landscape that offers panoramic views of the Cretan mountains and coastline. It is about 10 mins. drive from the Lyttos Beach hotel.
Course & Features
An 18 hole championship course designed to international standards, the course blends strategic play with natural terrain. It features wide fairways, well protected greens, and a layout suitable for both competitive and amateur players, while still offering technical challenges for more experienced golfers.
Facilities
The club offers a full range of modern facilities including a clubhouse with restaurant and terrace, a well stocked pro shop, locker rooms, and practice areas such as a driving range, putting green, and short game facilities. Equipment rental, buggies, and professional coaching services are also available.

Tournament Registration – What You Need to Do
To compete in the Golf Tournament, you must be fully registered. It is straightforward, but all steps must be completed in order:
1. IAG Registration
Register through your organization and ensure your participation is confirmed (including payment verification by the organizers).
2. Tournament Registration

This platform will manage pairings, scoring, and results. You may also use the app as a digital scorecard (optional). It’s all rather self-explanatory but if you need help, please reach out.
3. Handicap Verification
Your handicap must be verified before you are approved to play.
Please send me a clear photo of your current club membership showing a valid handicap.
This step is mandatory. Without verification, you will not be eligible to compete.
Participation Disclaimer
By registering for the Golf Tournament, participants confirm that they possess a sufficient level of proficiency in the game of golf, including a working knowledge of the Rules of Golf, on-course etiquette, and basic equipment requirements.
While beginners are welcome as part of their golfing journey, all players are expected to demonstrate at least a minimum level of tournament readiness to ensure the smooth flow of play and respect for fellow competitors.
Participants who do not meet these minimum standards, including first-time golfers or those lacking sufficient knowledge of play, may be denied participation and reassigned to supporter status at the discretion of the organizers.
